Only a month till FS but I figured I'd try and resurrect this anyway.
No time for long term goals before the event but I think I can lose another 5lbs.
So I had a baby, his name is Hunter. He's awesome.
In the four months since his birth I've lost the pregnancy weight- 25-30lbs
and now an extra 3lbs. So I'm now right at 201lbs.
I think I can get to 195 by FS. I'm gonna try.
I started Couch to 5k a week ago, I'm using the Lose It! app on my iphone(very useful!) and therefore I'm watching my calories and making sure I exercise enough to keep even or better.
I admit that breastfeeding is a huge boon to this process and I am hopeful that I can hit my long term goal of 150lbs.
If I could get down to 125 I'd be college weight but that just seems slightly mad. But we'll see what happens.
I highly suggest the Lose It! app if you have the phone for it.

Been working out regularly, eating pretty well too.
I've lost about 6 pounds, but I'm still right around where I have been.
Going up and down the same 10-15lbs.
I'm still gonna stick with it. Why not.

So when I went to the doctor a few weeks ago I was 210
this morning I weighed in at 200. So that makes me happy.
I've been ill for nearly two weeks and I don't diet while ill
so once I can breathe properly I'll be back at the gym and better eating.
(I allow more carbs when ill. I figure my body needs the help)
I've been happily consistent with the working out.
I even miss it right now, it makes me feel accomplished.
I also notice I move better in general when I've been working out.
The funny thing is, more than for Flipside, I want to lose weight so I can get knocked up.
If all goes well, I don't think I'll lose it all by the time we -could- conceive
but I think that keeping up the good eating and exercise while I'm pregnant
I'd probably lose weight healthily during the 1st trimester anyway.
It's happened before. Also, really I'm not that worried about it.
I'm glad to be on here again. Current Mood: calm

Biggest Loser Challenge!
My family is doing a Biggest Loser challenge leading up to a cruise we're taking in mid-May.

The Biggest Loser is based on percentage of body weight lost, not the number of pounds lost per se. The contestants are weighed in weekly and compete based on their percentage of loss. The "Biggest Loser" is the one who loses the highest percentage of weight.

Hi! I'm still out here!
Let's see, I'm ill but I've been working out!
I've not lost any more than my holiday weight but whatever better the same than up.
I'm still going to the Y at Town Lake after 6pm weekdays.
Finally am able to do the elliptical without thinking I'm going to fly off and die.
I'm back on South Beach Diet phase one...well no, not while I'm ill.
I'll be back on it in a couple of days.
Highest yet- 210
Lowest in the last decade? 180.
So I'm trying to get to 180 as a short term goal.
I'm honestly in pretty darned good shape, I'm just heavier than I'd like to be.
Anyone go to the Y in the evenings?

Getting my Ass Kicked
So today was my first training session at the gym. It was kinda last minute but WHOA did she kick my ass. She's got me on supplements, she's tracking what I eat, and on top of the 3x a week she wants me to work out with her, she wants me to do an additional 45min of cardio 4x a week.
She said I could reach my goal in way less than a year, which was actually quite exciting to hear. But ohhhh is she an ass-kicker. First she made me walk up and down a flight of stairs 10 times, which made me wheeze but she didn't give a fuck (YES!!). Then squats and more squats and table-top position on a ball while lifting weights over my head and aaaaaaaaaaahhhh! I was snarling at her and she so did not give a fuck about my whining. This kind of trainer is exactly the trainer I need
. I might not like
it but I really really need it.
As far as weight, I weighed in on Wednesday and had lost another 6lbs but today I was up 2, so we'll just call it as another 4lbs lost since last week, making 10lbs since I started South Beach. Only 90 to go!
Speaking of South Beach, Sunday is supposed to be my last day of phase one. I think I'm going to stick with phase one through the holidays though, given my propensity to cheat here and there. My hope is that it will at least keep me aware of what I'm eating and not fall back into bad habits. I'm also being tracked for nutrition using 24hr Fitness's "Apex" system, plus I got talked into getting a discounted "Body Bug" which tracks how many calories I burn. I'll probably do part of their diet as long as it adheres to my "phase two" plan of South Beach. But hey, if South Beach doesn't end up working on this workout regime, that's okay too.

Friday weigh in...
So today I did my weigh-in at my mom's house since I don't have a scale yet. :-P Last week it weighed me at 286.9. Today it said 280.2! So it looks like phase one of South Beach is already paying off! It's day five, I could easily do this for another week or even two. I forgive myself for the times I put a teaspoon of sugar in my ricotta cheese snack (since it's the only sugar I allow myself for the day!), and move on with my life. Clearly my perfectionism got in the way of my success last time and now I'm able to really get into the diet. Working out has been spotty, trying to keep motivated but it's hard. I'm looking forward to my training sessions getting in from costco.com so I can start training with someone at my gym soon. Get my ass kicked into shape, yo!

I'm 5'3" and weigh about 170. I'd like to lose about 30 pounds by Flipside and get to 140. I wanna fit in all my hot clothes. :)
I try to do yoga at least once a week, and am currently in belly dance classes the next 6 weeks. I was heavily involved in swing/lindy hop and also fire dancing (with poi) and still dabble a bit. I was also going to Body Choir regularly. Dancing's really good for me on multiple levels.
Gotta run to work for now but I look forward to us all achieving our goals!
